Callers children used product on their bodies as directed.. One of the children started vomiting about 20 minutes after application and has vomited a total of 4 times. Call was instructed to take child to the doctor right away.Follow-up completed on 6/11/2007 revealed that the child had been seen by a doctor and was diagnosed with a viral flu. The involvement of the repellent was ruled out by the doctor.

These self-reported descriptions of an incident have not been independently verified to be factually correct or complete descriptions of the incident. For that reason, information contained in this report does not and can not form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews.Reported illness is not a known side effect associate with the routine topical application of a DEET containing insect repellent. A follow-up evaluation by the patient's physician revealed a diagnosis of a viral flu illness, with the repellent being ruled out as the causative agent.
